Take a peaceful walk around the property through native bush or along the laneways that overlook the estuary and Sandspit marina. Or if you’re up for it, zip around on one of our E-bikes & ride the bike trail to Matakana Village. You can even hop in a kayak from the private dock and paddle the tranquil Pohutukawa lined estuary.

Picturesque Matakana wine region has so much to offer. With the retreat only a 7-minute drive to Matakana Village, you can enjoy a quality ‘flat white’ at a local organic café, or take a stroll through the famous Matakana farmers’ market.

Matakana is renowned for its local restaurants, pubs, quirky breweries, and some of the finest wineries the north island has to offer, and we can provide you with a list of great places to visit and eat while you stay at Bluestone Estate.
