Terms and conditions

Guests will be required to sign a Private Stay, Terms and Conditions contract prior to arrival. A summary of key Ts and Cs include but are not limited to the following:

Rates

Rates are in New Zealand dollars and include the New Zealand Goods and Services Tax

Rates are subject to confirmation at the time of reservation and subject to all payments being paid by due dates.

Please note that credit card payments attract a 2.9% credit card fee

 

Bookings

Your booking is confirmed upon the receipt of a 25% deposit of the value of the total stay

Final payment is required 14 days prior to commencement of your stay and 30 days in high and peak seasons.

Credit card details will be taken upon arrival and held as security for any costs incurred in relation to your obligations under these Terms and Conditions, and costs for any activities booked during your stay. 

Payment in full is required irrespective of whether you vacate the Property early.

A security deposit equal to one night’s rental will be charged and held at the start of your stay on the credit card provided. This Bond will be released after a post-stay inspection has been completed less any costs associated with any property damage or loss, excessive cleaning and/or rubbish removal. Credit card details will be retained for up to 7 days post your check out. The post stay inspection will be completed within 24 hours of your check out

Any changes to a booking must be made no later than 14 days prior to arrival and 30 days prior to arrival for high season and peak periods.  Every effort will be made by Bluestone Estate to accommodate date changes and will depend on availability so cannot be guaranteed.  Cancellations made after the above timeframes will result in full payment for the total stay being forfeited

We strongly advise travel insurance to cater for any unforeseen circumstances affecting your trip

Insurance

Please note that your personal effects are not insured by Bluestone Estate.

All personal items and vehicles (including vehicle contents) remain your responsibility and Bluestone accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.

Guests are strongly advised to protect themselves against cancellation charges, medical expenses or loss of personal possession by way of comprehensive travel insurance taken out in the country of origin. 

Please note that use by you or any guests of Bluestone’s extra facilities including, but not limited to, kayaks, dinghies, bicycles, trampolines, spa pool, swimming pool and tennis court is entirely at your own risk. Bluestone accepts no responsibility for any injury or loss.

Children are to be supervised at all times at Bluestone by a parent or responsible adult. 

 

Additional

Bluestone is a non smoking venue.

Our Bluestone Client Relations Manager and Concierge lives within our gated peninsula and is available to assist with any requirements during your stay.

While we respect guest privacy during your stay, we reserve the right for our manager to inspect the property at any time with a minimum of 2 hour’s notice. This notice will be given verbally or by phone message.

Bluestone is to be used as per your reservation arrangements. Any additional guests or events or use of the Property as a venue requires our express prior authorization in writing and may incur an additional fee. Please note that if authorization is not secured, guests will be asked to leave the Property immediately and there will be no refund for the remainder of the stay or of the security deposit.

No animals are permitted on the property except for working assistance dogs (Guide and Hearing Assistance dog only).

Bluestone Estate holds the information you provide us in our secure system during your stay. We will retain your profile on our system after your departure. Your personal information is treated with utmost confidentiality and will never be distributed to parties outside Bluestone Estate and Bluestone Families. If you would like your personal information removed from our database, please advise us post stay.
