The vaulted ceiling living room boasts a floor to ceiling South Island bluestone fireplace, perfect for cozy evening gatherings, while the large TV room with its big super comfy chaise sofa provides the instant warmth of a gas fire.
Bifold doors line the open plan dining and living space overlooking the infinity pool and Matakana estuary with picture-postcard views to Mt Tamahunga.
The state-of-the-art kitchen with butler’s pantry equipped with a Liebherr wine fridge and an impressive Italian espresso machine, opens wide with bifold windows to outdoor dining.
THE PROPERTY
Bluestone’s private compound with Main House and Boat House is located in a gated peninsula amongst farmland and native bush, 7 mins drive from the renowned Matakana Village. The Bluestone Farmhouse is 1 km away on its own acreage looking out to Kawau Island. The Main House has multiple sitting areas and fireplaces both inside and out with beautiful lawns and gardens and an area for helicopter landing.
BEDROOMS
Listen to native bird calls as you wake up each morning in our warm and inviting bedrooms. Designed with the comfort of home in mind, each room has its own unique theme with luxurious bedding and French doors that open out onto deck and lawn fringed by native bush. Sit in your own Adirondack chairs and have a leisurely coffee or a quiet meditation.
ACTIVITIES
Shoot some pool, challenge friends to a game of foosball or darts. Or if you want something more active, hit our full-sized tennis court for a match on sunny days & barbecue afterwards. There’s even a small gym and petanque court, perfect for leisurely afternoons.
BATHROOMS
Each bedroom has its own beautiful Moroccan tiled bathroom ensuite complete with plush bath towels botanical amenities and quality hair dryers.

Sleeping 14, there are five bedrooms plus the pool house which can become a bedroom, each with their own Morrocan tiled ensuite. The TV and sofa in the loft bunkroom makes it a great space for kids, teens or grown-ups to have their own space when the need arises!

AMENITIES
The property hosts a range of luxurious amenities including a scenic infinity pool and spa/hot tub, gym, and tennis court. For some additional fun, our pool house games room offers a pool table, foosball, and darts. Our two electric bikes can be ridden along paths to the village or to the beach for a fun outing.
And of course, there is the obligatory barbeque so you can end your day in casual kiwi style, perhaps with a game of petanque on the lawn. Later on, the industrial firepit overlooking the estuary makes for a wonderful evening under the stars (outdoor fires permitting).
Use of Bluestone’s SUV vehicle and/or Wolfie, our vintage army Land Rover can also be arranged on request.

THE GROUNDS
Nestled into a gentle slope, with sweeping lawns and native bush, Bluestone is a place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. Our beautiful bush walks are rich with New Zealand’s native flora and fauna and unique native birds. Below the Main House and hidden from view you can find Bluestone’s full sized astro turf tennis court and basketball hoop.
Simply pour a glass of locally sourced wine, sink into a comfortable chair or bean bag and enjoy some special moments with friends or family. If you are lucky our local tui birds will serenade you.

Bluestone offers three gorgeous adjacent properties which can be rented separately or together for larger groups or retreats. With 3 dwellings and multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, you can escape to your own peaceful corner or connect with others in a beautiful natural space.
